Anyone else having a day? Just me? I’m holding on to the fact that it’s nearly 6pm and I can still see the sky outside my window, can still see the faint glimpse of sun through the clouds. It’s never as bad as we think. I trust that.

Loving this piece on the fairy tale as an MFA antidote by Lincoln Michael, complete with a literary fairy tale syllabus. One of the best courses I ever took as an undergraduate creative writing student was a folk and fairy tale course, and these days I’m especially interested in horror and gothic fiction as ways into— and out of— traditional literary forms. Good stuff here.
