A Saturday post? Yes, that’s right. By the time I got around to this last night, it was late into Friday and I decided that we might as well bump to Saturday morning. So if you, like me, are currently on your phone, just waking up, drinking coffee, you can go ahead and dig into all the resources below to get your weekend started. And yes, if you’re wondering, the regular Monday newsletter was skipped this week. It’s been a week. I’ll write about it in an upcoming newsletter, but for now, I’ll just say not to underestimate this delta variant and to please get vaccinated.
Grist is covering the aftermath of Ida and the impending Gulf Coast eviction crisis. I think this quote from Andreanecia Morris, executive director of the housing advocacy nonprofit HousingNOLA, says it best: “Climate change is also a housing crisis. Mother Nature is trying to evict us with cause.”
